General Activities

The following are some of the general activities offered by the IFI. To avail of such services please contact the office or visit the mosque.

  • 5 Daily Prayers - The five daily prayers in Jama'ah (congregation), the Jumu'ah (Friday) prayer, the two Eid prayers and the Taraweeh prayers in Ramadan are held at the Mosque. The Khutbah (sermon) for Friday prayer starts at 1:10 p.m. (summer and winter times). The prayer finishes before 2:00 p.m.

  • Study circles in Arabic and English - Arabic Halaqa (Study circle) from 3.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m. tea and refreshments afterwards. English Halaqa (Study circle) from 3.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m tea and refreshments afterwards. On Sunday Nigerian halaqa (Study circle) in Yoruba and English from 3.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m.

  • Hajj and Umrah trips - The Islamic Foundation of Ireland helps with the organisation of Hajj trips. For details, please see  section of the website or contact the office.

  • Arabic Courses - Beginners and intermediate Arabic classes for non-Arabic speaking people from both the Muslim community and the larger community are organised from time to time by the Islamic Foundation. Contact us for more details.

  • Islamic Lectures, Islamic Courses, Summer Camps etc - These activities are advertised well in advance. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please provide your address.
