Graveyard clean-up day has been postponed

We are sorry for the short notice but the IFI Clean-up day at the graveyard has been canceled due to the weather forecast, predicting heavy rain all day on Saturday 22nd. We will be
announcing a date in the coming days insha Allah.

نعتذر عن الملحوظة القصيرة ولكن تم إلغاء يوم تنظيف المقبرة بسبب توقعات الطقس وتوقع هطول أمطار غزيرة يوم السبت 22/07. سنعلن موعدا جديدا في الأيام القادمة إن شاء الله.

Dear brother & sisters,

The Islamic Foundation of Ireland kindly requests you join us for the ‘Clean-up Day of the Muslim Graveyard, Newcastle’ in the county Dublin, on Saturday 22nd July at 11am until 4pm, with a break from 1:30 to 2:00pm.

It is the duty of every Muslim to visit and take care of the place where we are all going to be buried. We are duty-bound to ensure such places are clean. The Newcastle graveyard needs a good cleaning from weeding, clearing of stones, and other rubble.

Please bring heavy-duty gloves, shovels or rakes or garden forks, and other garden utensils that may be useful. We look forward to seeing you all at the cemetery at 11am insha’Allah.

If you do not have transport, please let us know and we may be able to arrange transport for you.

Please do your best to attend.
